In which the villains finally get their come-uppance.

Remember the scammers I talked about several times last year? They didn’t stop, I just stopped reporting on them. We’ve been averaging a call from them every couple weeks since then, all from the “Windows Support Department” or “Windows Technical Service Department” (of what company, they never say), and all following practically identical scripts. After a while I gave up keeping notes on them. I don’t know what put our phone number on their lists, since no one else I know has been hit more than once or twice. Maybe the first guy decided to pass our number around because I wasted so much of his time.

Anyway, it seems that we won’t be getting such calls anymore. They finally annoyed one too many people. 😀

Good riddance to bad rubbish.
