What does “Geek Drivel” mean?

From the Merriam-Webster dictionary and thesaurus:

  • Geek (noun): a person often of an intellectual bent who is disliked; an enthusiast or expert especially in a technological field or activity <computer geek>.
  • Drivel (noun): language, behavior, or ideas that are absurd and contrary to good sense; unintelligible or meaningless talk.

I’m calling this the Geek Drivel blog because I’m a geek writing about geeky topics, and a lot of my ideas are apparently seen as absurd, unintelligible, or meaningless by the majority of right-thinking people. Maybe they are, maybe not. Decide for yourself.

If you agree, then perhaps you’re a right-thinking person. Congratulations; I envy your certainty of your place in this world and your unshakable belief in your way of thinking. Please stay long enough to share your insights, I’m very interested.

If, on the other hand, the thoughts that I write down here seem to have some merit, then stick around and speak up. There’s more to come.
