I wish these ads were dated, or at least put in order of their release. I recognize a good portion of the hardware — and the prices — but some of the ads look very sixties-esque, a decade I wasn’t around for.

The processors and memory have increased since then, but Microsoft’s operating systems and even Linux have become more bloated to match… 😉
Haven’t you ever noticed that when you move to a larger apartment, your stuff expands to fill the extra space? It’s the same concept. 🙂

Time to start pitching, then. This place that we’re in now is noticeably smaller than the one we had before, and we had to throw out or give away a lot of stuff when we moved.
(We’ll probably be moving again within six months or so too. It’s a long and unpleasant tale, which I’ll go into at some point if there’s reason, but we should end up with a place that we really like when we’re done.)
