Kind of amazing how computers are like gallows, with all those Executables and such. And I suppose ghosts are the original Terminate-and-Stay-Residents. 😉
You forgot about zombie processes… Not to mention, worse yet, the Blue Screen of Death. (and it’s cousin, the pizza wheel of death.)
I always preferred the X-Box and its Red Ring of Death. (For some reason, that phrase has always brought “ring around the collar” to my mind. Perhaps due to the aforementioned gallows.)
You wouldn’t prefer the Red Ring of Death if you’d experienced it yourself. 😉
I wasn’t foolish enough to trust Microsoft’s hardware. 😉
