“US military’s use of mythical monster for psy-ops”

I find this amusing, from the perspective of a modern, logical, Internet-connected Westerner who knows that vampires are myths. But I have to wonder just how many mistaken beliefs I have, that could be used against me in the same way by a more advanced enemy…

(Fortunately, any “more advanced enemy” would almost have to be extraterrestrial at this point in history, and we haven’t found any. Yet.)

  1. My friend, I’d be churning out SF novels by the dozen if I thought I could make a living at it. 🙂 I have lots of ideas that would go well in SF, a couple of them even unique so far as I know.

But fiction in general, and SF in particular, is a notoriously tough business. Only the absolute top writers in the field make anything near enough to live on at it. And it takes up a ton of time, so if you’re writing at any decent pace, so it’s not like you could do anything else creative at the same time. So I keep writing programs and blog entries instead. 🙂
