Santa Claus is antisemetic, he only brings presents to the gentile children.

I think that’s why the idea of Santa has survive for so long… parents can blame him when they don’t get the kids what they want. 🙂
My parents used the “don’t like what you got tonight? Keep complaining and you won’t get what you do want on the 8th night!” That doesn’t quite have the “Santa done-it” panache though.
Doesn’t work for Christmas. The worst parents could do for that is threaten next Christmas, and by that time, neither the kid nor the parents would remember anyway.
That’s true, because during the holidays, the kids are living in the presents….
