This should go a long way toward preventing Wikipedia-spread hoaxes. With it, Wikipedia might actually become the all-around useful resource that it has long striven to be.

Either that or it’ll become like “references required”, “better organization needed” and other such notes, an unsightly blight on otherwise decent articles.
I’d rather have that than a patently incorrect article that people would believe.
We’ll see, I don’t have much confidence in Wikipedia ever since I had a negative experience trying to correct a quote in an article when I edited for the first time. Apparantly the misquote was posted by a person or people who had an agenda in it being incorrect.
