Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. My mother has had operations for it; I’ve had precursors of it myself a few times. Hopefully these exercises will work to protect against it.

Very good, I’m sure this post really hit a nerve with some people though! 😉
There are different treatments like bracing and splinting. Both are effective treatments for the reduction of pain and symptoms. Carpal tunnel syndrome requires major lifestyle changes. A short-term remedy is localized steroid injections. Better to choose long term treatment option to get permanent relieve. Chiropractic care can give long term relieve. (I know speaking to a spammer is a waste of time but…)
I read about these exercises first years ago on a University of California at Berkeley college coursework website. They are taught there by health professionals to students, and are thought of elsewhere as the most effective preventive measure.
The whole point of course, is to avoid needing “major lifestyle” measures with an ounce of prevention, as opposed to a pound of steroids, splints, and chiropracty, which may be very useful to healthcare professionals, and their incomes. 😉
