Project X is a long-term R&D project that my company is working on. That isn’t it’s real name, of course, it’s one that a visitor suggested for it. The term caught my fancy, so I use it when I find a need to mention the project on this blog.
I can’t say much about it, other than that it exists, it was officially started in 2003 (though it’s something I’ve been thinking about regularly since 1981), we’re presently doing prototype work on it in Common Lisp, and we’ll probably convert it to C++ once the prototype is working to our satisfaction. All other information is a closely-guarded secret at present.
