    There’s an interesting comment on that article:

    I hate to say it, but I can see both sides of that one. “Prejudice” is a dirty word, but pre-judging people based on the most common attributes of the group they seem to be associated with is a natural human behavior, like it or not.

    Fortunately, the Internet masks most of the clues to what group(s) a person belongs to, so you can be whoever or whatever you like on it. :-)

    I don’t know if that’s a normal attribute of spinsters, I know a 40 year old spinster who’s the sweetest person you could ever meet, and she’s prettier than a battle-axe. (I wonder why she didn’t get married!)
