I suspect this has more to do with the fact that Kentucky is the home of a lot of coal mines (coal is one of the leading sources of man-made atmospheric carbon dioxide and other probable greenhouse gases) than any alleged religious mandates against protection against global warming.

The title on my entry was taken directly from the source site. I’m pretty sure that his title was generated by his well-documented disdain for the intelligence of people in Kentucky. Which, judging solely by that story, might have some justification.

Well, my former state of Virginia’s the home of Pat Robertson and the late Jerry Falwell, so we have Kentucky beat in that regard – all they got is some museum. Besides, if you look at the comments a few of them are from embarrassed Kentuckians. (Who used to be better known for bluegrass and prize-winning thoroughbreds.)

You’re right, I shouldn’t judge everyone in the state from the stupidity of a few — a lesson I should have learned long ago.
